[FORBES] AS ALL-STAR WEEKEND HITS STEPH CURRY'S HOMETOWN, A JERSEY EXCHANGE IS HELPING CHANGE LIVES IN KENYA
So how does it work? It’s similar to the jersey exchange Curry and Dwayne Wade took part in last week after the Miami Heat’s matchup with the Golden State Warriors in Oakland. Except in this instance, Curry receives a personalized jersey, handcrafted by a local tailor in Kenya. Meanwhile, Curry’s autographed jersey is auctioned off to raise funds for safe water solutions for Kenyan schools.
To date, Underdogs United has funded water purification systems to impact over 9,000 children with safe drinking water. With auctions from Stephen Curry, Rafinha and Gina Lewandowski from FC-Bayern, as well as NFL star Bradley Chubb ending in the next week, Underdogs United aims to fund water systems and maintenance programs for two additional schools, impacting over 1,500 children.

They’re not like the rest of the kids in their community who play soccer. They’re the baseball players, and that’s really unique.”
